Enjoy Internet Marketing Benefits

Tuesday, April 28, 2009 by Derek McClain
There are many Internet marketing benefits that play into your complete Internet marketing strategy.  I would like to touch on just one of these benefits today - longevity of your efforts.

Unlike a television or radio ad campaign, most Internet marketing efforts do not "turn off" or disappear without you or your business deleting your efforts.  Here is an example:

Months ago, Fusework Studios decided we were going to target the search term Internet Marketing Indianapolis and make it our goal to be placed in the top Google results for this particular phrase.  This goal was accomplished through hard work and we soon became the top search result, a position which we still maintain.  Once we attained this position, we have not had to do a whole lot of maintenance to continue to hold the top spot.  Simply put - our efforts that were done months ago continue to pay off today.

This same philosophy is true for a number of results that show up in Google searches each and every day.  Many of the top results are from efforts that were made some time ago.  Now this is not to say that updated, fresh content will not eventually take over these spots, because eventually it may.  But this post is rather intended to spark thoughts about the long term benefits on the efforts you are making now will continue to pay dividends later.  While it may take some time up front, if done appropriately- you will enjoy Internet marketing benefits for days, weeks, months and even years to come.

Please elaborate the type of activities that you undertook to accomplish this #1 ranking. I suspect that your ranking has more to do with compendium and less to do with your efforts

"John" thanks for your comment. I won't elaborate on our exact SEO strategy to win the term "Indianapolis Internet Marketing". However, it's safe to say that we've been winning this search term without the aid of Compendium as we've ranking in the top 3 results for this query for over 12 months (we've only been using Compendium for the past 2 months). By the way, even if we were winning this search term as a result of using Compendium Blogware, what would the harm be? I'd be interested to know what you've heard about Compendium Blogware.
